The author of a new romance novel about reincarnation doesn’t seem like someone who would have a good sense of humor especially about their own book. That is why this interview with Alysha Kaye is surprisingly funny. Alysha Kaye is a Texas State alumna whose new book The Waiting Room will…
This review of THE WAITING ROOM made my day (which is amazing since I am exhausted and sunburned from a rather tiring beach trip)!

Jude and Nina are the epitome of that whole raw, unflinching love thing that most people are jealous of. That is, until Jude dies and wakes up in The Waiting Room, surrounded by other souls who are all waiting to pass over into their next life. But unlike those souls, Jude’s name is never called by the mysterious “receptionist”. He waits, watching Nina out of giant windows. He’s waiting for her. What is this place? How long will he wait? And what will happen…

If you’ve self-published, you probably know the exasperation of CreateSpace and Amazon.
In my case, I wanted to make sure my novel was out on July 1, the date which I’ve advertised everywhere. CreateSpace warns that the print process sometimes takes up to 5 days…so, of course, I uploaded 5 days before the 1st.
And then my book magically appeared on Amazon a day later. Friends and family excitedly posted on my Facebook and I deflated in my humid, Texas apartment.
“Well….better early than late!” My friend Nathan graciously pointed out. I drank three mimosas at brunch and decided to go ahead and let the world know: my book is available!
Here are the links, hope you check out THE WAITING ROOM 🙂
Get ready for tomorrow! FREE GIVEAWAY of The Waiting Room!!! Check it out:

So for the next two weeks, it’s going to be running on bare bones (I really do hope that’s a saying) while I get set up for a complete blog overhaul. Nothing major is going to change – I will still be blogging reviews, writing about reading and sharing teasers. What is changing is my goals, or rather now I’m actually going to have goals. Hopefully it will give me more direction in what I’m reading and what…

Youngest reviewer yet- and probably my favorite review yet! This girl can write, check it out:
I connected with Joyce through WLC (World Literary Cafe).
She had posted an amazing offer- an opportunity for authors to be featured on her blog!
Of course, I jumped at the chance. Joyce has written and published THREE novels (I know, jealous). They’re all on my Goodreads to-read shelf and I can’t wait to check them out.
Read more about her and check out my full author interview on her blog!
